Most people in Finland have at some point in time heard the story about Herra Snellman from Pietarsaari. Pietarsaari is a small coastal town in Western Finland where, back in 1951, our story begins. We are still very much here, coming up on our 75th anniversary, even if things have changed a bit since our humble beginnings.
Today, the family-owned company is Finland’s third largest meat production company and the biggest private employer in our little hometown. The company produces mainly meat, meat products and cold cuts of pork and beef.
The company has grown a lot thru the years, but still the driving principles remain the same: “We make the products as we would make them for ourselves”. This we do with pride, passion and an ever-present wish to improve.
Our products represent high quality with a high proportion of meat and with as few additives as possible. We strive for excellence in making natural, nourishing products that are a pleasure to taste.
In essence, a Finnish origin, cooperation with local producers, pure ingredients and high-quality products have constituted the core of our operations for over 70 years.
Over the years, the once small, brotherly venture in a basement in central Pietarsaari has developed into a group of companies employing around 2 000, but we strive to continue to operate openly and close to people.
